Ninette is a Safety, Health and Environmental professional, with more than 20 years’ experience in the mining environment. She holds a B.Sc. Hons degree obtained from the University of Pretoria as well as a B Tech in Safety Management from UNISA and is currently busy with her final year of her master’s in environmental management at the Northwest University.  Ninette is registered as a professional natural scientist.

Ninette has gained experience and expertise in both environmental and safety responsibilities within a range of opencast and underground operations. These activities have spanned across many locations, including the Western Cape as well as Ermelo and Witbank.

She is a committee member of IAIASA (The International Association of Impact Assessment South Africa) and was recently elected as a committee member of SACESHA (South African Coal Environmental, Safety and Health Association).
