Rachel Hebron - Financial Project Analyst

Rachel is a seasoned Financial Project Analyst with over 24 years of experience. She holds a B.Com Honours degree from Rand Afrikaans University, is a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) through SAICA, and completed the Executive Programme with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) in 2006.

As a Financial Analyst with extensive experience in the mining industry, Rachel brings a unique blend of financial acumen and sector-specific knowledge to the company. Rachel specializes in analysing complex financial data, forecasting trends, and providing strategic insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability in mining operations. Her expertise includes evaluating capital investment opportunities, managing risk, and optimizing financial performance in a sector characterized by fluctuating commodity prices and regulations. Prior to her freelance career, Rachel served as a Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive finance expertise from the engineering, manufacturing, IT, mining, and investment sectors. She has played a pivotal role in acquisition processes, due diligence, and feasibility studies, consistently ensuring sound financial management.

Her expertise extends across project funding negotiations, commercial and financial management, budget forecasting, foreign exchange management, asset risk management, internal audits, and wage negotiations. Rachel has led the successful implementation and integration of key Compliance, HR and Production Monitoring systems that improved operational efficiency and streamlined mining compliance processes across departments. By managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with vendors, Rachel ensured a seamless transition that resulted in enhanced data accuracy, reduced downtime, and increased productivity.
